(1) If you insert an egg in a filled slot, the occupying egg and all eggs right to it will be shifted to the right side. This way you don't have to pull out everything just because you need to insert. The last egg will be yanked out if there are not enough slots.
(2) Long words are not necessarily more difficult. The most difficult ones are actually those on level 5-7 (8 - 10 letter words). If you can past those levels, you are on your way to victory (level 11)! Also there are less and less words to decode as you go up the levels.
(3) Your ranking in Hall of Fame is sorted by level, then score, then time. Even if you cannot decode any word at a level, you are still considered to be at that level if you post your score. If you want to be listed in Hall of Fame, make sure you finish a level. E.g. if you score 90 at level 9 (and cannot decode any word at that level), you are still ranked higher than someone scoring 120 at level 8.
(4) For long words, try to arrange the consonants first. Leave the vowels on top of the rack.
(5) Don't be afraid to use give up button. Only 1 point is deducted if you give up. Consider that at level 1 alone you can get as many as 60 points, level 2, 50 points. So there are lots of bullets.
(6) A negative score will not keep you from posting to score board.
