So why that I just can't beat the damn evil red girl?
Of course you can ! Here are the tips:
(1) Use the space bar often. It is almost impossible to win without using it.
(2) Jump often but carefully. It will be difficult to win if you stay on the floor too much. Jump carefully. If you miss the ball while airborne, you won't have a second chance since the ball moves fast.
(3) Use power hit while airborne, and do it multiple times consecutively. The red girl is quite intelligent, and the only "blind spot" she has is while she is airborne. If you can hit fast before she lands on the floor, she won't have time to go catch the ball.
(4) Use "Quality" button. If you have a slower processor, you may want to turn the graphics quality to low by clicking the quality button on the top right corner. This will significantly improve the speed. The game will be more responsive and run more smoothly (the red girl will move faster too, but the extra responsiveness you get seem to offset her speed gain.)
(5) Force the red girl to the back of the court. This will sometimes force the red girl to hit a net ball.
(6) "Secret" move ! The so-called secret move is to use power hit while you are half way between the floor and the highest point where you can jump to. This will hit the ball with a near 180 degree path, which gives the longest horizontal distance, making it difficult for the red girl to travel that far to catch the ball. The perfect time to use it is while the red girl is airborne. We have found out that only the experts can master this move.
